A Dua (supplication) for spring by Imam Ali (AS)
In his Dua for spring, Imam Ali (AS) said: O’ God, quench us with a rain which gives life, irrigates, covers everywhere and goes everywhere, clean and bountiful, tasty and full of blessing, with plenty of plants, branches which produce and leaves all fresh and juicy, until with such a rain to restore to life the unable servant, and revive Your dead cities. O’ God, give a rain that is lengthy enough for our high lands to be covered with plants, and the water is flowing in our lower lands. And plenty of blessings are spread around us, so that with it our fruits are plenty and our herds can stay alive and are increased, and further lands also benefit from it, and our villages become strong by it. O’ God, send a bountiful rain which the famine stricken people can benefit from its blessings and the effects of drought are removed. Verily, You are the God who sends rain after people become hopeless, and You spread Divine Blessings everywhere, and You are the Guardian of the system of creation and worthy of being worshipped [1].
